Good News of the Week

STILL, I RISE.

               Maya Angelou

GOOD NEWS REPORT- For the week of January 20th

The students of Mrs. Pawlicki’s class just finished making boats that carried “passengers” from Denmark to Sweden, just like the fishing boats in the novel Number the Stars, which we just finished reading. The overall winning boat, built by Eli Ventura, Ethan Singh, and Justin Rodrigues, held 397 passengers, or pennies. Good job to all students for building successful boats.

Congratulations to Connor Lee for winning the 2019-2020 school wide GEO BEE competition!

Congratulations to Amanda Rentas for winning the 2019-2020 school wide SPELLING BEE competition!

Congratulations to Camilla Wilk for winning the New Jersey Natural Gas 13th annual poster contest. The contest was open to all 5th grade students in the NJ Natural Gas service area. Camilla won a personal tablet, a Brain Show assembly for the school and 1,000.00 for the school that goes towards an energy conservation project. Camilla's poster will be featured in the Energy for Education section of njng.com
